Internal Water Reticulation

Internal water reticulation refers to all piping networks within a facility after the Water Meter from the Mains. In a typical grounded residence in Malaysia After the Main water Meter Piping is laid straight to the Kitchen where the Kitchen Sink and Washing Machines get water from The mains. There will also be a Tee tapping sending the water up to the roof Storage Tank.

Water from the Storage Tank is Supplied to all the Washrooms within a Residence. In Malaysia The Very Basic Licence required to do such installations is the SPAN A1 Licence. Plumbers with Licence adhere to the available guidelines by the Local water authority in terms of types of piping to be used, p[pe sizes, Ideal Locations to place valves etc.

Common Mistakes done by Noncertified personnel

These are several common mistakes done by non-certified workers:

1. Piping glue only applied on one side
2. Using Regular Pressure glue instead of High-Pressure PVC Cement Glue
3. Fixing water tank at the wrong location making it difficult for maintenance works
4. Incorrrect Pipe size- Piping from the tank is normally 1" then reduced to 3/4" upon reaching the Washroom Master Valve. Each end points like Bidets, shower, toilet cistern and Sink are normally reduced from the 3/4" piping to 1/2" by means of a reducing Tee or Reducing Elbow. We have seen cases where the entire washroom using a 1/2" piping which will cause restricted flow especially when more than one service or end point is used.

Water Proofing Services

Any washroom or water related facilities on higher floors normally require water proofing. Water proofing materials range from elastomeric membrane types and cementitious waterproofing.

For application of new waterproofing the work scope is as follows:

1. Clean the surface to apply waterproofing
2. Apply a Primer. Primers seal of any exsisting holes in the concrete and acts as an ideal bonding agent for the application of the cementitious or elastomeric waterproofing material.
3. Applications of 2 layers of cementitious waterproofing
4. Upon drying for 48 Hours the washroom can be tested by blocking the outlets flooding the floor and tested for leakage.

Pipeline Unclogging Services

Aquascape has vast experience in Pipeline unclogging services. It is almost unavoidable for grease clogs. In the case of Food Courts and Malls, The clogs happen over a period of time. The water flows at the floor level and gets to the lower floors.

The temperature at these malls are low due to air-conditioning. Naturally the oils start sticking to the pipeline and the grease build up begins. Over time the grease buld up is so thick the entire pipeline is blocked. We have seen that most unblocking agents and enzymes are unable to clear such clogs. This is why we urge all such plumbing installations should have an I/O Cover for Maintenance Purposes. Physical Clearing of the grease is the best option. Other methods are Pressure Jet Spray using a pressure hose or ultimately changing the pipeline.

Tank Washing Services

Incoming water supply these days is often interrupted due to pipe breakages. Besides this some pipelines have known to be rusty. This causes the incoming supply to be contaminated with rust, silt sand and mud. Over time the accumulation of these contaminants become a problem to the water clarity.

Besides mud and silt tank washing is also essential because there have been cases where dead rats and insects have been found inside tank. Be it Condos, Apartments and Hotels tank washing is essential.
